Stones in the sky

The long Easter weekend was spent in Essex to catch up with family. While the weather was still halfway decent, we took a walk along the Blackwater River to the tiny hamlet of Beeleigh in east Essex, which boasts bridges, weirs, even a lock.

I took my camera and found the area was ripe for my fascination of water and bridges. But it was only luck that created my favourite photo of the walk.

As we were leaving, the tide started washing out towards the distant sea at a rate of knots, revealing many stones previously hidden by the water. And at that moment the sun came out in full force, creating a great effect. Dermot looked at the shot and said it looked like the stones were floating in the sky.

Sky stones

What do you think?…
