Christmas afternoon
Christmas Day in Old Hunstanton, North Norfolk. Lunch has been eaten and there is a welcome break in the heavy rain. I walk down to the beach, leaving everyone else in the cosy surrounds of our retreat, The Lodge.
Other people have done the same, braving the chill wind. One couple are walking their dog and take a photograph. The sky is coloured a heavy cobalt blue with a warm streak of reddish pink, ready to dive into darkness. The walk is cold but not one to be missed.
oh my gosh that looks absa divine!

Thank you Liana. Definitely a place to visit if you can brave the cold!

Very nice – I really like Sky in Sand – there is so much light in there, something that is in short supply at this time of the year.

Thanks so much. The light was amazing after days of heavy rain and dankness. Boxing Day was stunning with blue skies – more on that soon!

I am just having my too long delayed browse in your blog. You mention a new camera with better focussing in a comment on one of these photos. I will likely find out as I go backwards through your blog, but what did you get?

It’s a Fujifilm X-E1. Still getting to grips with it. I jotted down a few initial thoughts here: https://mikeosbornphoto.com/2012/12/16/a-new-photographic-era/

Thanks so much! I had to go back and thaw out afterwards – there’s a punishing wind on that part of the coast.

Thank you Richard! Yes, it was worth the chill. And the new camera seems to be holding up well too.
