High and mighty
An impressive mountain of glass and steel in the heart of the City of London – a true statement of power and prestige.
This is just one of the many new high-grade skyscrapers that have sprung up in recent years. There are more on the way, which cluster together in the capital’s business district.
Nearby is a less imposing and more elegant curved tower. With your camera you can spend a long time pointing upwards on a trip to the so-called Square Mile.
Fabulous photos….my husband’s mother was an Osborn. You’re probably related…. ;)

Love everything about the main image, the toning, the reflections and the enviable angle .

Thanks James. Skyscrapers are absolutely irresistible and there are enough of them in the City of London these days. I feel it’s possible to be more loose and liberal with the editing of shots.

Both are impressive buildings and images but I love the angle on the first, it gives a very different view.

Thank you Lee. It took a deft turn of the camera to achieve that. I wasn’t lying on the pavement as a friend has suggested – I would have been trodden on by many City workers! It’s changed such a lot recently and is still evolving.

The pace of development in London feels mind-boggling at times. I find the place unrecognizable in places these days.

I quite agree, Andy. There are more major high rises to come. But you’ve probably worked out that I’m quite a fan…
