Daffodils
Easter. Symbolised by rabbits, chocolate eggs and newborn lambs.
This is about one of the flowers of the Spring, the daffodil or narcissus, abundant at this time of year.
I brought two bunches of daffodils home, with tall stems and large, buttery heads. They quickly burst into full bloom but didn’t last too long.
This was an enjoyable indoor photography project for the lockdown and allows these flowers to live on.
It’s a highly unusual Easter weekend here in the UK as the pandemic continues. Wherever you are, stay safe and well.

These look exquisite!
Great photography skills! This post is a good amount of inspiration for me to try this. :)
Stay safe, strong and sane!🍁

Thanks for coming by and I’m glad you like the daffs. It’s a good subject when your camera is staying inside. Look forward to seeing the results!

Your welcome.
Yeah, me too! I’ll surely post the *hopefully* decent results on my blog! ☺

Beautiful detailing, Mike. It’s lovely to just see elements of the flower, and your take on them, particularly against the purple background, really helps them stand out! :)

Thanks Richard! Sad to say they no longer exist any more so it was good to capture them. Who knew a net curtain (I hate that term!) could be so artful?!

Happy isolation Easter Mike! I hope you are safe and well in these unusual times. Lovely daffodil shots particularly like the ones with blue or purple in the background. The B&W’s are nice too, in all lovely images :)

G’day Lee and I hope all’s well with you too. I’m guessing your countryside isolation is a little different to here in the city? The backdrops were all thanks to that sheer window curtain!

Possibly not so much. We’re not in total lockdown and can go out for food, medical and exercise. But the rule of thumb is Stay home, stay safe and I’m heeding it :)

Yes it’s the same here. I’m sticking to it as well… camera is fully locked down for the foreseeable as it involves a lot of dithering about!
