Manchester autumn
Autumn. Seasons of mist and mellow fruitfulness. Beautiful leaves. Some years it’s left me cold. But this year it’s caught my eye here in Manchester. READ MORE BELOW

My neighbourhood of Castlefield, set by the canal close to central Manchester, was an obvious place to explore. The trees are rich with colour and leaves have scattered into the water.
I contrasted this urban setting with a trip to Fletcher Moss Park, a delightful area of gardens and woodland in Didsbury, south Manchester. They didn’t disappoint.
This year, for whatever reasons, I’ve revitalised a passion for capturing autumn/fall. It might be obvious, but it’s good for the soul and absorbing, don’t you think?
Really nice

I love the fact that trees sometimes look like the lungs of the planet that they are.

Yes! Crawl under an Acer and look up… the branches and deep red leaves are very vascular-looking :)

Gosh yes, I hope so too. I do count myself lucky since my job legitimately takes me places, and also the area I live in is very low on the risk scale atm, do I’ve been doing a lot of walking.

Manchester is not in a great position and we’re now back to an advisory against non-essential travel :/

Yes, it’s quite bad up that way, I’ve been keeping an eye on the news. I was meant to have walked Hadrian’s Wall last month, but had to cancel due to restrictions 3 days before I was due to travel to Newcastle. I’ve postponed the trip to 2021 with ๐ค๐ค But, using the opportunity to do more local walks…

Here’s hoping! I may even get to the coast. I had chances in the summer but then the world and his wife were flocking there :/

Oh lord yes!! Staycation in overdrive ๐๐๐ what a crazy old year its been. Let’s hope 2021 isn’t…๐ค๐ค So far our little bays haven’t been too bad….Ramsgate and Margate beaches are so big anyway you could fit a few bus loads, not that I’m hoping for that…but there are still some quiet places to be found

Hopefully not but I think we’ll take a long time to emerge from this era :/
