Fountain source
Another visit to Hampton Court Palace. If the architecture is fascinating, then the grounds certainly are.
The main fountain is a real draw, with plumes of water rising high into the sky with understated elegance. But I decided to train my lens to the heart of the matter – where the water emerges from. The little miniature jets in this shot add to the frame.
I’ve already admitted to a slight obsession with water and the thousands of captures it offers – it rarely stands still and even then can catch a stunning light.
Can you ever run out of water photographs to take?

Water obssessives unite! I’m surprised they haven’t switched the fountain off – they had at Kew.

A switched-off fountain is such a sorry sight. I think they can afford to run it given the amount of rain that has recently fallen!
