Paddington rays
There was no chance of this happening in London today.
Yes, another day of heavy clouds, rain and little decent light for photography, let alone this beautiful sight. It’s shining through the magnificent canopy of Paddington railway station in London – the gateway to the west of England.
I saw this coming down a flight of stairs, stopped to capture it and nearly took a tumble. It was worth the risk, as the rays came out very well.
Taking photographs is almost all about the light, isn’t it?

Indeed, light is a very huge aspect of photography. It can make or break a photo. I love light chasing to get that perfect photograph. :) Beautiful capture! The light certainly made this one. Glad to see you didn’t break your neck! :)

You’re welcome, Mike. :) Yeh, I know what you mean. I go for some B&W’s sometimes, still rather difficult without the light.. Unless you want to for the tortured artist look of course. :)

That’s one answer when the light is scant. But it really helps in monochrome too.

Sure does… contrast, dramatic effect – I can’t think of many instances light isn’t helpful in one way or another. I hope you have a wonderful night, Mike, and hope you have some sunshine tomorrow. :)
