Regal garden
This is a London backyard to savour. The gardens of Eltham Palace are a sublime fit for a house combining medieval and Art Deco majesty. You can explore formal lawns, water features and meadow-lined paths. And in early summer, the herb beds and borders are bristling with delicious blooms. It’s a haven for macro photography and the capture of the vibrant colours of nature. Come and take a stroll…

Beautiful series again Mike, a couple that stand out for me were Bashful Daisies and Feathers of Fennel great use of DOF in both.

Thank you Lee. I can rely on my 60mm macro lens to produce these effects. Have been manually focusing lately though you have to keep still to retain the clarity.

I’ve been doing macro work in the last few days and manual focus sure gives a better result than auto.

It takes some turning of the barrel but is worth the extra effort.

A regal garden to savour, indeed! Nice images, giving glimpses into the garden, but not actually showing a great deal of it! :)

Thanks Richard :) It was too extensive to show. Detail was the most satisfying approach.
