This slender chisel of a skyscraper dominates the Manchester skyline. It’s the city’s tallest building, a relative newcomer to the scene. The Beetham Tower is a constant reference point in my new home, perfectly framed in the living room window, steely during the day and twinkling with lights after dark. How sad it is…, a tall building in an environment of small buildings. There’s nobody and nothing to protect it against storms and rain. Poor Beetham…
He has me to look after him now :) I see him all the time from the window. The next thing is to climb up him.
