Seasonal adjustment
The very same spot, but what a difference. In January there was a deep blanket of snow in Hammersmith Park, west London. You would be advised not to sit on the bench.
A number of weeks later and we experience the first day of Spring – bright, beautiful sunshine, a very pleasant temperature of 17C and the promise of green shoots on the trees.
But that was the beginning and end of the season of renewal, and now the country is frozen again – there are wintry flurries coming down outside my window now. The new season may have officially started – the weather just isn’t playing ball…

This winter weather is crazy. We had snow and cold wind every single day in Toronto area this week.

The winter is eating up Spring, Alexander! I thought perhaps it would always last longer in Canada. We start British Summer Time next weekend!!
